A unique experience for youth in
the wooded hills of western Pulaski County, Arkansas.
Pfeifer Kiwanis Camp is a people place offering programs for youth from across Arkansas since 1929.
The camp’s programs for youth have been acclaimed nationally, including an Emmy nomination for a camp documentary and recognition as the International Organization of the Year in 1998 by the Association for Experiential Education. Sanford Tollette, director of the camp, won the Outstanding Practitioner of the Year Award from the Association of Experiential Education, and the Kurt Hahn Award in 2004.
The camp is located 10 miles west of Little Rock. The 88 acre facility includes a section of the Little Maumelle River, many hiking trails, a swimming pool, and excellent recreational areas.. The camp offers a rustic woodland environment with comfortable accommodations throughout the year.
The camp is an AmeriCorps National Service site, providing volunteer service to the community. The quality of Pfeifer Camp is accredited by the American Camping Association which has rigid standards for rental sites and program operations. Few camps in Arkansas can boast such high standards!
