A.C.E. - Who?

The Alternative Classroom Experience is a cooperative venture with the Little Rock School District and the Pulaski County Special School District.  Students in the third, fourth, and fifth grades who are considered at-risk for failure in social and educational areas participate in the program.

ACE was started in 1977 by Mr. Sanford Tollette, a teacher in the Little Rock District when he became concerned about students not working up to potential.

At-risk students are defined as those who fit one or more of the following categories:

Students are recommended through their teachers, counselors, or principals in their regular school

A major component of the A.C.E. program is the parental guidance that is part of the weekly parent meeting.
