Joseph Pfeifer Kiwanis Camp
Counselor's in Training (CIT's) provide a very beneficial service to the camp. These volunteers are between the ages of 14-17 and are previous campers who have been chosen due to their proven ability to be dependable, respectful hard workers with great leadership potential. They serve as assistants to the summer counselors, assist in the kitchen, and serve as mentors to the campers. They are the ones who hold true the values and efforts that embody Pfeifer Camp, growing from children to positive young adults within the program. Summer AmeriCorps positions are usually filled by former CITs, allowing them a small living allowance and an education award for college.
